My grandmother calls me a tumbleweed. And I see myself happiest when I am on the move. I have an inherent passion for traveling and creating art where I go, and I have no intention of stopping any time soon.
I find solace in the aesthetically beautiful, yet melancholy places on earth. When it comes to my art, I aim to look inside myself and take from me a part of me to bring into the light. It is always an ongoing process, and the only way out is to keep creating.
Artist Statement
A Michigan native, Madeline Grendel now resides in Prague, Czech Republic with her fiance.
She graduated Principia College with a B.A. in Art and Political Science and a minor in music-emphasizing violin performance.
Post-graduation, Madeline is pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts at Prague College. In her free time, she travels foreign countries with her fiance and photographs all that is obscure and beautiful.
